Missing 12-year-old found and returned home

UPDATE: The Austin Police Department reports Miracle Lofton was found and returned home Saturday. APD has not released any other information about this case.

AUSTIN, Texas—The Austin Police Department is searching for a missing 12-year-old who was last seen leaving school in northeast Austin.

Miracle Lofton, 12, may have left her school, the Bertha Sadler Means Young Women’s Leadership Academy, Friday afternoon with another student, according to APD Detectives.

Miracle is described as an African-American young girl,
- 12 years old
- 5’4” in height and 105 pounds

Miracle was last seen wearing black pants, a light top, and carrying a purple backpack.

APD needs the public’s assistance in locating Ms. Lofton. Due to medical conditions, it is important that Miracle be located immediately. If you have any information, please call the Austin Police Department at 9-1-1.

This case remains under investigation by the APD Missing Persons Unit.
