What we know:
Austin police say officers responded to a shoot/stab hotshot call at around 5:42 p.m. on April 2 at the Penske Rental Truck facility at 8201 Tuscany Way.
The caller reported a man had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found two men next to another man on the ground with visible gunshot wounds. Officers gave the man, identified as 39-year-old William Rogers, medical aid until ATCEMS could arrive.
However, Rogers passed away at a local hospital just before 7 p.m.
APD says the investigation so far shows Rogers, 28-year-old Javarus Crumpton and a third person were acquaintances and worked as movers. The trio had met up to rent a moving truck.
