Driver hits, kills pedestrian in Southeast Austin

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle on E. Riverside Dr. Friday morning.

AUSTIN, Texas - One person is dead after being hit by a driver in Southeast Austin.

The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Riverside Dr., near South Lakeshore Blvd.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene around 2:45 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
