Police investigating early morning Southeast Austin shooting

AUSTIN, Texas - Police are investigating after a man was shot in the parking lot at El Agazajo Bar and Grill on 183 near the airport. It happened shortly after 1 a.m.

Police say the victim was taken to the hospital and is in surgery. It's unclear what prompted the shooting and details about the victim or suspect are not yet known.

This is the same bar where a security guard was shot and killed in October 2014. There haven't been any arrests in that case and it's not clear if the shootings are connected in any way.
