KILLEEN, Texas - The Killeen Police Department is investigating a shooting in southwest Killeen that left a man dead Monday night.
Officers were called to the 2800 block of Kerrville Court just after 9 p.m. June 1 in reference to a 911 call about shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a man on the ground in front of a home with a gunshot wound and not breathing, says Killeen police.

The man, 30-year-old Ricky Darnell Ball, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:49 p.m. An autopsy has been ordered.
Homicide detectives are asking anyone who may have seen anything or has any information to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 254-526-TIPS (8477) or by going online. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the P3Tips App, available on iOS or Android.
Tips that lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for Ball's death could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. All information is confidential and anonymous.
