Police release more details on bank robbery that led to bomb squad call out

Austin police released more information about Wednesday's bank robbery at the Chase Bank on North Lamar that prompted the bomb squad to respond. 

Police now say the suspect entered the bank with a handgun demanding cash. He left a suspicious package behind when he fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Malibu with dark tinted windows. It was originally reported the suspect left on foot. 

APD's bomb squad was called out and inspected the package, giving an all-clear. No injuries were reported. 

Police are still searching for the suspect who is described as a black male, 5'9'' with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt with a white horizontal stripe, a tan ski mask and blue jeans.
