Round Police Department helps ‘light the way' to Texas Baptist Children's Home

About 6,000 luminaries were lit up Christmas Eve along the walkways of Texas Baptist Children’s Home.

Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks brought the unique tradition from New Mexico.
 
"We're actually lighting the way TBCH Texas Baptist Children's Home so people can come in and remember what this place is for doing this holiday season," Chief Banks said. "And for us all to come together during this Christmas season remember those who are without and try to bring a little joy them is amazing."

Luminaires are brown bags, with a handful of sand, and a candle. Chief Banks said the lights welcome Jesus Christ. He hopes the luminaires not only serve as a beautiful display but the charitable work the TBCH for children who are away from their families during the holiday season. TBCH is a ministry that helps take care of children from families and parents in need,
