Sam’s Club is ready to help members enjoy a festive Thanksgiving meal at a cost of under $10 a person.

The Walmart-owned membership warehouse club retailer says the meal includes 11 Member's Mark items for about $160, serving up to 16 people, for less than $10 per person.

Food prices are up 2.5% year-over-year

The low per-person cost comes as welcome news to consumers, as food prices are up 2.5% compared to last year, according to the September Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) consumer price index.

The BLM says the food at home index decreased 0.1% on a monthly basis and is up 1.8% from a year ago while the food away from home index rose 0.2% for the month and is up 3.5% from last year.

Sam’s Club says they started working on the 2026 Thanksgiving meal last year and spent roughly 12 months developing the meal, with a team of more than 20 employees incorporating feedback from members to deliver a strong dollar value meal for its members.

What they're saying:

"Shortly after Thanksgiving, we sent surveys to the Member’s Mark Community about their meal experience," said Ashley Peoples, senior director of product development at Sam’s Club. "We heard they wanted more protein, a gravy and something to snack on before, during and after the meal. Members told us they wanted more leftovers," she said. "So, we added more items and increased the amount of several sides so we could stretch the value even further for them."
