Suspect charged with arson following house fire

An arrest has been made in a suspected arson case out of Williamson County.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, the fire happened at a home off of County Road 270 near Leander. When deputies arrived on scene around 9 p.m. on the Fourth of July, the house was engulfed in flames. 

 

 

Several witnesses told deputies that a man approached the home with a lit tiki torch. It immediately set the house ablaze. The man was identified as 59-year-old Gary Lee Dill. 

He was taken into custody and charged with arson. 

No known injuries were associated with this incident.
