Teen arrested for making terroristic threat against school in Caldwell County

An 18-year-old has been arrested after allegedly making a terroristic threat against a student and a school in the Prairie Lea Independent School District, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office. 

The sheriff's office says they received a call on Tuesday morning regarding the threat and were told the suspect's name was David Baros. While police searched for him, the Prairie Lea School campus was placed on lockdown.

Baros was located in Luling, Texas and taken into custody without incident to any student or involvement at the school. 

Baros is being held in the Caldwell County Jail for terroristic threat and evading arrest/detention. The public is asked to contact the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office at (512) 398-6777 if they have any information.
