Teen seriously hurt after being hit by car

A teen is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after he was hit by a car.

Police say it happened around 6:30 a.m. off East Slaughter Lane when the young boy was walking across the intersection with some family members. Officers say the driver who hit him stayed on scene and immediately called 911.
