Texas Rangers investigating after DPS trooper shoots and kills armed suspect
LLANO, Texas - The Texas Rangers are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Llano County that happened early Sunday morning.
Around 6:16 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Llano Police were involved in a stand-off with an armed suspect who barricaded themselves in a residence located at 600 Bessemer Avenue.
According to Texas Rangers an officer fired at the suspect who was armed with a machete.
The suspect died at the scene.
Texas Rangers are conducting the ongoing investigation.
The identity of suspect is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
