Travis County holds first ever Expunction Expo, old arrest records cleared for 350

AUSTIN, Texas - Those who have nay arrests on their records may have experienced a hard time finding work housing or financial aid, but thanks to Travis County, there's a chance that those arrests can get cleared. 

The Expunction Expo, hosted by the Travis County District Attorney saw more than 350 people in order to clear old arrests from their records on Saturday. 

The attendees were eligible to have records cleared through different means, such as dismissed cases or by being found not guilty in their case. 

The organizers of the Expo feel that these people are often overlooked simply because of the arrests on their files. 

The DA's Office says they're planning to have this event every year but there will be other opportunities to ger your record cleared in the meantime. 

This was the first-ever expunction expo held in Travis County.
