TriRock Triathlon held in Austin

An estimated 2,000 people packed downtown on Labor Day for the ninth annual TriRock Triathlon.

The race began early in the morning and wrapped up in the afternoon. FOX 7's Nick Spinetto spoke to the Olympic distance finishers Kori Sessions and Philip Dudley. Sessions finished second and Dudley placed third.

The Olympic distance is the full triathlon: a 1500 meter swim, a 24.8 mile bike ride and a 6.2 mile run.

The first place finisher was Adam O'Connor who took the top spot by finishing with a time around two hours.
