Two cases of West Nile virus in Austin

There are two confirmed cases of West Nile virus from mosquitoes in the Austin area, according to Austin Public Health. 

APH says that July, August and September are the height of mosquito activity and the public should stay aware. They say people should remove any standing water and wear insect repellent to prevent mosquito bites. 

In 2017, there was only one case of West Nile.
