Two Cedar Park HS students arrested for making video threat against students, staff

Two Cedar Park High School students were arrested Thursday for making a threat against the school's students and staff.

The two have been charged with Terroristic Threat.

According to Cedar Park police, officers responded to a call Wednesday night from a parent who said her child had showed her a social media video of two young boys threatening to cause harm to people at the school.

The officers were able to identify the two students in the video and arrested them early Thursday morning. Both were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center in Williamson County.

Cedar Park police say they do not believe there is an active threat to students and staff, but it remains an ongoing investigation and CPPD will have extra patrols around the Cedar Park High School campus.

Cedar Park police are also reminding students, parents and the community: "If you see something, say something."

"Violent threats are no joking matter and are taken seriously by our officers and agency partners," said Cedar Park police in a release.
