AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department has identified the man killed in a crash in Southeast Austin on April 20.
The incident happened at around 3:43 p.m. at the East Ben White Boulevard service road and Todd Lane.
Police say the initial investigation shows that a white, 2019 flatbed truck ran the red light crossing over the eastbound lanes of the service road heading southbound on Todd Lane.
The flatbed truck hit a white, 2011 Ford F-150 on the driver's side of the vehicle and the driver of the F-150 was pronounced dead on the scene just after 4 p.m.
The driver of the F-150 has been identified as 49-year-old Lucino Gonzales LandaVerde.
Police say no charges are expected at this time and that the information about the incident could change as the investigation is still pending.

This is Austin’s 28th fatal traffic crash of 2020, resulting in 30 fatalities this year. At this time in 2019, there were 24 traffic fatalities.
