VP Mike Pence in Texas for two separate events

Vice President Mike Pence is in Texas for two separate events.

Pence spoke to soldiers at Fort Hood and is expected in Austin later today for a private event.

At Fort Hood, Pence was joined by Texas Republican U.S. Rep. Roger Williams as both participated in a veterans roundtable and training demonstrations.

Williams released a statement saying, “I’m honored to join Vice President Pence at Fort Hood. ‘The Great Place’ is the gold standard for the U.S. Army, and I’m proud to join the Vice President in thanking our veterans and service members here today for their service. These men and women are some of our nation’s finest and I will always fight on their behalf in Congress.”
