Wildfire season dangers

AUSTIN, Texas - California is battling the ongoing Carr Fire. The fire broke out exactly one week ago destroying dozens of structures and burning thousands of acres along its path. 

In Austin firefighters continue to battle a wildfire in Burnet County.  The fire quickly charred more than 550 acres forcing dozens of homeowners and park guests at Inks Lake to evacuate.

FOX-7 Austin’s Mike Warren and Rebecca Thomas talked to Kari Hines with the Texas A&M Forest Service about wildfire dangers this time of year.
