Women's March ATX holds "Rally at the Capitol"

AUSTIN, Texas - The Women's March ATX is holding a rally at the Capitol on Saturday, January 18, 2020. 

The Woman's March ATX is an independent, grassroots non-profit that is "committed to standing up for the rights of ALL women, regardless of race, cultural, or religious affiliation, sexual identity or preference or political affiliation," their official website states. 

Mayor Pro Tem Delia Garza will be the Mistress of Ceremonies as she welcomes over twenty local and national speakers at Saturday's rally. 

The March comes during the presidential election year and the continental anniversary of the 19th amendment that granted, as the website states, "some (but not all) women the right to vote." 

The March beings at noon at the state capital and will end around 3 p.m.
