Bevo XV to make debut during Notre Dame game

The University of Texas and the Silver Spurs Alumni Association has selected the newest longhorn to become the school's famed mascot, Bevo.
According to the school's website, Bevo XV, who is currently training, will debut during the Longhorns first game of the 2016 season against Notre Dame on September 4th.
Bevo XV replaces his predecessor Bevo XIV, who passed away in October 2015 after a short battle with bovine leukemia virus. Bevo XIV served as the school's mascot for over a decade and was a part of the 2005 National Championship game.
