Texas Longhorns head to San Antonio for 2019 Alamo Bowl

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Texas Longhorns are in San Antonio for the 2019 Alamo Bowl.

The college football bowl game will be played between the Texas Longhorns of the Big 12 Conference and the Utah Utes of the Pac-12 Conference. The game will be played on December 31, 2019, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CST on ESPN.

Texas entered the season ranked and had expectations of making a run at the College Football Playoff. After a few losses along the way, a seven-win UT team is in the Alamo Bowl, but are still glad to be in it. 

This will be the second time that the two programs have met; their prior meeting was in 1982, won by Texas. No other team has played in the Alamo Bowl more times than Texas has since 2005, according to Alamo Bowl officials.

Texas is 2-1 all-time in the Alamo Bowl.
