Texas State’s Nijal Pearson honored for 2,000th career point

SAN MARCOS, Texas - Texas State's Nijal Pearson was honored for his 2,000th career point at the Bobcats recent game against Georgia Southern and the school's all-time scoring leader added to his total.

Pearson helped key another blazing hot start for Texas State and finished with a game high 20 points. Teammate Marlin Davis had 16.

The Bobcats rolled to a 70-55 win. It's the team's third straight and are now just a game and a half out of the Sun Belt top spot.
