The University of Texas men's tennis team beat California in the Round of 16 of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship 4-0.

The Longhorns team of Harrison Scott and Christian Sisgaard won the doubles point and then Texas swept the singles matches with Yuya Ito's win clinching it for the team.

Texas will take on the TCU Horned Frogs in the Elite Eight in Orlando. The Longhorns beat TCU during the regular season.

As the Longhorns continue to advance, the headlines of former coach Michael Center and the college admissions scandal are behind the team as the Longhorns have kept winning since Center left the program in March.

Interim head tennis coach Bruce Berque says he's felt the support from the team in the way the players have approached practices as well in their enthusiasm and positivity they've shown each other.
