Gabby Petito, 22, vanished after going on a cross-country trip with her boyfriend in a converted camper van. Here is a timeline of her disappearance, death and the developments in the case.

Milwaukee police on Thursday, Oct. 21 announced that missing 3-year-old Major Harris, the subject of an Amber Alert, was found dead near 35th and Rohr.

A body was found Wednesday during the ongoing search for Brian Laundrie, the only person of interest in the Gabby Petito case. Investigators have yet to identify the remains, but items belonging to Brian were found nearby.

The FBI confirmed to reporters in Florida Wednesday that investigators found what appear to be human remains, "along with personal items, such as a backpack and notebook belonging to Brian Laundrie," just hours after Laundrie's parents searched the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.

The search for Brian Laundrie heated back up Wednesday after the fugitive’s parents arrived at the swampy North Port preserve where "some articles belonging to Brian were found." FOX News now reports human remains may have also been found.

Police say they located the vehicle in the Amber Alert for 3-year-old Major Harris in Milwaukee on Monday, Oct. 18. A vehicle matching that description was seen parked outside of a laundromat near Sherman and Villard.

Governor Ron DeSantis said law enforcement has been working nonstop to try and find Laundrie, but said he was frustrated the only person of interest in the disappearance and death of Gabby Petito had not been found.

A CLEAR Alert has been issued for missing 54-year-old John Robinson, who was last seen in Houston on Tuesday.

Loved ones of 19-year-old Miya Marcano said their final goodbyes on Thursday. Marcano was laid to rest in a custom blue casket, wrapped with an image of her angelic face and topped with a crown befitting of a queen.

Pasco County K9 Diesel, trained to detect human remains, has joined in on the search for Brian Laundrie at the Carlton Reserve.

Brian Laundrie's brother-in-law asked Manatee County deputies for increased patrols in his neighborhood in mid-September after he said his family received alarming threats amid an ongoing manhunt for the Florida fugitive, according to sheriff's records.

Elizabeth Smart, who was kidnapped for nine months when she was 14 years old by a street preacher and his wife, said Wednesday that it is "heartbreaking" knowing what Gabby Petito likely went through in the days and weeks leading up to her death.
