13-year-old Buda girl killed by train identified
The victim in this morning's train/pedestrian accident is identified as 13-year-old Tanley Yacos. Tanley is from the City of Buda and was a student at Dahlstrom Middle School.
The Buda Police Department is investigating a fatal train accident involving a pedestrian.
At approximately 1:50 AM on Saturday, police responded to a call from a Union Pacific engineer at the railroad tracks between the South Loop 4 and Houston Street railroad crossings.
According to the preliminary investigation, the train was traveling Northbound when the engineer noticd two young females walking Southbound on the railroad tracks. One of the females was struck by the train.
13-year-old Tanley Yacos was pronounced dead at the scene. The other female was not hurt.
This investigation is ongoing.
