AUSTIN,Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Police Department has identified a man whose body was found near Onion Creek Greenbelt Sunday night.
Officials say he showed signs of obvious trauma.
Police say a man discovered Zapata’s body while walking his dog on the greenbelt.
Zapata was found about 50 feet from the roadway in a wooded area.
An autopsy on Monday showed the manner of death to be homicide. Police said it was an isolated incident, with no threat to the public.
Police said the APD Homicide Unit is investigating.
