APD investigating stabbing death of 25-year-old man

Austin Police are searching for the person responsible for stabbing a 25-year-old man in Northeast Austin. It happened at the Cricket Hollow Apartments near I-35 and Braker.

Sunday morning around 9:30 the victim's brother went into his apartment at the Cricket Hollow Apartments only to find him with a stab wound. Officers arrived and started first aid. EMS took the man to the hospital where he later died. His injuries prompted APD to launch a homicide investigation.

"They are speaking to multiple sources, family members, his fiance and the brother who made the 911 call along with his parents. They're trying to get as much information as they can to know what was going on in his life that could have possibly led up to this," said Senior Police Officer Bino Cadenas.

As the family mourns police continue to investigate. They are looking for a suspect and the weapon. APD believes this is an isolated incident.

The victim's name has not been released yet.
