Austin police search for aggravated robbery suspect
The Austin Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted for aggravated robbery of two different convenience stores this week.
The first robbery happened on Sept. 27 at the Shell Gas Station at 7510 North Mopac Expressway. Police say the suspect came in at 10:46 p.m. with a lit roman candle and hammer and demanded money. He was reportedly wearing dark clothing and a yellow mask with a hood.
The second robbery happened on Friday morning, Sept. 29. The suspect in that case was seen exiting a car while two other masked people remained in the car. He entered the 7 Eleven at 3848 Airport Blvd with a lit roman candle and hammer demanding money. He was reportedly wearing an olive green Adidas jacket with orange stripes, a green shirt, dark pants and also a yellow mask with a hood. The car is described as an older green or dark green 4-door car with a garbage back over the driver's side rear window.
The suspect in both cases is described as a white, thin male who is about 5'9.''
