Authorities investigating West Campus stabbing

Police are investigating a stabbing in West Campus.

It  happened around 10:28 p.m. on September 10th.

Austin police and University of Texas police responded to reports of a woman who had been stabbed at 27th Street and Whitis.

When officers arrived they found a woman in her 50s with a stab wound to her arm. She was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Officials say the incident happened due to a fight. All of the people involved in the incident have been detained.

Officers arrested 54-year-old Evan Lee Smith for disorderly conduct display. 

None of those involved were University of Texas students. Officials say they were all transients.
