Be aware: Fake fundraisers made for injured deputy

A Texas deputy who was shot and critically injured while serving a federal warrant in La Grange last week is showing signs of improvement. Fayette County Deputy CJ Lehmann was shot in the face on Thursday, November 1 by a suspect who had failed to register as a sex offender.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek , Deputy Lehmann did lose his left eye and that they are still fighting to save his right eye at this time. As of this time, Deputy Lehmann is scheduled for eye surgery later this week.

Sheriff Korenek asks for continued prayers and support, as it will still be a long road to recovery.
