Campaign hopes to expand broadband access across Texas

AUSTIN, Texas - There is a campaign underway to expand broadband access across Texas.

Voters will decide on Proposition 8 in November.

It would authorize a $1.5 billion fund to improve connectivity for 911, education services and other essential needs.

The money was already appropriated by the legislature, but now needs voter approval.
