Capital Area Food Bank helping flood victims this weekend

Many are still cleaning up after losing all their belongings. The Capital Area Food Bank is stepping up to help them with a very basic necessity.

The Capital Area Food Bank is going to be distributing emergency food boxes to flood victims in the Wimberley and San Marcos areas over the weekend.

Those who were affected by the storms will be able to meet with disaster relief agencies to learn about assistance to support their recovery.

CAFB will be at the Wimberley Resource Center from 8 a-m to 8 p-m today and tomorrow. That's located at the Wimberley Community Center.

They will be on site today to distribute emergency food boxes.

They will be at the San Marcos Resource Center from 8 am to 8 pm on Sunday and Monday. That is located at St. Johns Catholic Church.

CAFB will distribute those emergency food boxes in San Marcos on Monday.

Those boxes contain 25 pounds of non-perishable, ready-to eat meals and snacks for a family of four. Many of these boxes will be distributed in Wimberley. CAFB not only need food donations, they're also asking for other supplies.
