TEXAS CAPITOL— The Texas State Capitol flies high the American and state flags, but on Wednesday the Texas flag was mistakenly flown upside down, quickly galling FOX 7 viewers.

FOX 7 aired a story Wednesday night about a Texas law that makes it illegal to vandalize the state or American flags being ruled unconstitutional. During the newscast, viewers noticed the Texas flag being flown the wrong way.

Phone calls, emails, and social media messages quickly poured in.

FOX 7 confirmed the flag was, indeed, flying upside down, but it has been turned right side up since the story aired.
