Closer look at underground caves

Crews are still looking into the cave found underneath a Williamson County neighborhood last week.

Monday, structural engineers were on the scene in the brushy creek subdivision, where they made a new discovery.

A fourth chamber inside!  At least three homes sit on top of the cave are directly next to it.  None of the homes have been evacuated.

Engineers said the ceiling of the cave is at least 5-feet thick and appears stable.

FOX 7 Austin’s Mike Warren and Rebecca Thomas talk to Geotechnical Engineer at MLA Labs, Tim Weston about the underground caves.
