Community comes together in support of deputy injured in the line of duty

The "Fayette County" community is pulling together to help the family of a sheriff's deputy severely injured in the line of duty.

Deputy Calvin “CJ” Lehmann was shot in the face, while helping serve a warrant last week. The sheriff's office provided an update saying Lehmann lost his right eye.

Doctors are trying to save his other one. Two boutique owners in La Grange are among the many in the community who are raising the money help Lehmann's family.

“We are selling Koozies, 100% of the proceeds are going to his family. We also just placed an order for silicone wristbands to sell and raise money for his family as well. It just makes us feel good knowing we are able to do something,” said Kelsey Kaltwasser, co-owner of Wild Dragonfly Boutique.

Deputy Lehmann is a single father of three.  He has been with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office for two years.
