FOX 7 Discussion: Will stricter gun laws prevent mass shootings?

President Trump has attributed the cause of the church shooting to a "mental health problem" and, not gun laws.

He went on to say stricter gun laws may have actually led to additional casualties on Sunday.

"You might not have had that very brave person who happened to have a gun or a rifle in his truck go out and shoot him and hit him and neutralize him and I can only say this if he didn't have a gun... instead of having 26 dead, You would've had hundreds more dead so that's the way I feel about it. Not going to help," said President Trump.

FOX 7’s Rebecca-Thomas talks to Travis County GOP chairman Matt Mackowiak and, Ed Espinoza from "Progress Texas," about the president’s argument that if gun laws were too strict the two civilians who chased the suspect down during the church shooting may not have been armed.
