Gov. Abbott creates Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed 31 people to the Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response.
A press release from the Office of Governor Abbot states that the task force was created to provide expert, evidence-based assessments, protocols, and recommendations related to state responses to infectious diseases, and to serve as a reliable and transparent source of information and education for Texas leadership and citizens.
John Hellerstedt, M.D. has been appointed director.
