Lake Travis ISD teacher assaulted by student, says district
AUSTIN,Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A Lake Travis High School teacher was assaulted by a student Monday afternoon, according to the district.
Lake Travis ISD says it happened at Lake Travis High School. The district has not released further details.
“Due to student and individual privacy laws, we are not able to comment on matters of student discipline, the employee's condition or the employee's work status,” the district said in a statement. “While this is an isolated incident, we take this matter seriously and it remains under investigation.”
The Travis County Sheriff's Office is assisting with the investigation.
