New Caney ISD substitute teacher arrested on child pornography charges
KINGWOOD, Texas (FOX 26) - A New Caney Independent School District substitute teacher is behind bars after Harris County Precinct 4 investigators traced pornographic pictures of children back to his home in Kingwood.
Kenneth Morphis, 62, is a former teacher with New Caney ISD. During the execution of a search warrant, he confessed to investigators that he had been seeking and obtaining child pornography online. Investigators then discovered a laptop computer cache of child pornography. He has been charged with three counts of posession of child pornography.
Morphis was arrested Thursday at a home on Lake Creek Drive in the Kingwood area. He is currently in custody at the Harris County Jail with bond set at $10,000.
