Pflugerville residents talk race relations

In attendance was a crowd of all colors, including the Pflugerville Police Department and coming together to talk about current events. When it comes to the issue at UT, most agree with removing those statues and giving them context in a museum.

Some, said removing the statues is not enough but there should be more focus on policy change.

“I am glad that a lot of these monuments and symbolic things are coming down, but at the end of the day.  Is that really going to change anybody's lives? Is that helping anybody pay the rent?  Is that helping anybody get a job? Is that helping anybody create a job?” said Clifton Styles, attendee.

Black Pflugerville holds regular monthly meetings, however, they chose this night to talk race relations.
