President Trump pays Flextronics International a visit in Northwest Austin

President Donald Trump touched down in Austin Wednesday afternoon to pay a special visit to Flextronics International.

“Anyone that followed my campaign I would only talk about Apple, that I want to see Apple building plants in the United States,” Trump said.

Located in Northwest Austin, it's the site where all of Apple's new Mac Pro computers are being built.

“Tim Cook is someone I greatly respect, a great leader, a great businessman,” Trump said.

The high-performance computer is being made in the U.S. rather than China thanks in part to tariff relief. Prices start a little shy of $6,000 and debut later this year.

“It's 15 thousand times more powerful than the original Mac. It can perform 56 trillion tasks per second,” Tim Cook says.

While Trump is away from the White House, impeachment hearings continued on Capitol Hill.

“Let me tell you...it's a hoax, it's a disgrace. It’s an embarrassment to our country. Nancy Pelosi has done a terrible job as speaker," Trump said. "There’s never been a speaker that has done so little and she is totally incompetent. Shifty shift, he stands up and he tells lies all day long and even with that so we have no due process, we can't have anything and yet not only did we win today. It's over."

Last month the FBI reportedly requested an interview with the whistleblower who made the complaint about Trump's July 25th phone call with the Ukrainian president and sparked the ongoing impeachment inquiry in the house.

A reporter asked President Trump on Wednesday: "do you have any words for the whistleblower?”

He replied “Whistleblower is not a whistleblower. He is a fake and everybody knows. Excuse me everybody knows who the whistleblower is and the whistleblower is a political operative.”

President Trump went on to slam the media about not reporting about Former Vice President Joe Biden and his family.

“The Bidens is a whole different story when you talk about corruption. When you have a guy that's made no money and his father becomes vice president and all of a sudden he gets millions and millions of dollars' from Ukraine from all of these countries and you just see two of them," he said. "This guy made nothing he got thrown out of the Navy couldn't get a job then his father becomes Vice President and the press doesn't want to report it. Because the press is dishonest I think the whole thing is a disgrace."

Trump also took a moment to call the press "fake" and "phony".

Trump added, “we're opening up massive Apple plants we have the greatest economy in the world. We have the greatest economy in the history of our country and the best unemployment numbers but we have a fake press, we have a phony press - dishonest most of them."
