Rider of stolen motorcycle dies in North Austin crash

A police investigation has identified a man that died after he lost control of a stolen motorcycle and crashed in North Austin. 

According to the Austin Police Department, 32-year-old Rocky Anthony Bell died after he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding. At approximately 11:45 p.m. on April 11, Bell struck an inside barrier while he was heading northbound on the inside land of the 8000 block of Research Blvd and was ejected.

Bell was riding a stolen red 2002 Honda motorcycle when he crashed. 

Police say he died on the scene.
