TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas - Pending legislation would name a road in Travis County after fallen Travis County Deputy Jessica Hollis.
Hollis died in September last year when her car was caught in rising flood waters.
She was inspecting a low water crossing to make sure it was safe for drivers.
Her body was recovered a couple of days later in Lake Austin.
A bill sponsored by Democratic Representative Ceilia Israel and Kirk Watson in the Senate would memorialize a portion of FM 685 as the "Deputy Jessica Hollis Memorial Highway."
