Round Rock police identify man killed in weekend shooting in southeast Round Rock
ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Police Department has identified a man killed in a shooting Sunday night in southeast Round Rock.
Jabari Cephus, 20, was pronounced dead at a hospital. Round Rock police say officers have identified a subject of interest in the shooting, which occurred in the parking lot of the Regency at Dell Ranch apartment complex.
Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 600 block of Louis Henna Boulevard shortly after 10 p.m. Dec. 29 where they found Cephus with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Two other subjects were detained at the scene, and at the time it was unknown what their involvement was.
Round Rock police say the preliminary investigation shows the shooting was a dispute between two people who knew each other and that it is believed there is no continuing threat to the public.
