Six acre grass fire in Del Valle
A six acre grass fire in Del Valle broke out on December 21st but was quickly under control thanks to the Austin Fire Department.
Investigators say the fire was started by improperly discarded smoking materials.
No structures were involved and no one was hurt.
The fire did threaten eight to 10 structures on Thome Valley Drive but firefighters were able to keep the fire away.
It took just a little more than an hour to get the fire under control.
