Suspect arrested for Aggravated Robbery

Isador Ortiz III, 23, was arrested by the Williamson County Sheriff's Department for aggravated robbery after he shot a man while trying to steal his car outside of a laundromat in Taylor.
According to authorities, Ortiz shot a male victim during an attempted car jacking outside of GK Laundry on N. Main Street in Taylor around 8:30 P.M.
The Sheriff's Department said Ortiz jumped into the victim's car, while it was parked and running, and tried to drive off. The victim fought back however Ortiz shot the victim once before running away.
The victim and his family told police they did not know Ortiz but did provide his description and a description of the weapon.
Authorities said fingerprints found on the car matched Ortiz, who was found a couple of hours later and arrested for his role in an unrelated crime. During the arrest police found the weapon used in the car jacking and Ortiz was wearing clothes that matched the description given to police earlier.
Ortiz has been charged with 1st degree Aggravated Robbery and is being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
