Officials say two people were killed after an early morning crash in Cedar Creek. It happened around 2 a.m. on FM 812 just south of Highway 21.

DPS says the two people were on a motorcycle heading north on 812 when a Chevy Avalanche, heading south in the wrong lane, hit the bike.

The motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 50s or 60s, and a passenger, a woman in her 30s, both died at the scene.

A man believed to be in his 20s was driving the SUV and was taken to Brackenridge with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials do not know if alcohol was a factor at this time. They do not believe the crash was weather related.
