Update: Two Texas men arrested for murder in Oregon

UPDATE, 4:10 P.M.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Police arrested two Texas men and are looking for a third in the shooting death of a man near a southern Oregon boat ramp.

Carroll "B.J." Ballard, 22, and Blake Sibley, 20, were booked into the Josephine County Jail on charges of murder and robbery, the Oregon State Police said. Investigators, meanwhile, searched Monday for 23-year-old Marshall McKenna, whose last known address was in Ponder, Texas.

A jogger called 9-1-1 on Friday to report the death of 43-year-old Roger Huntington of Crescent City, California. His body was found in his SUV near the Lake Selmac boat ramp. The lake is about 60 miles northeast of Crescent City.

Police have released few details about the killing. A probable cause affidavit filed by OSP Det. Jess Elzy said the three robbed Huntington at gunpoint, and McKenna pulled the trigger.

Public records show Ballard and Sibley are from Denton County, Texas. They were being held without bail. Sibley indicated he wants to hire his own lawyer while Ballard was to be assigned a public defender.

The state police said they have information to believe McKenna probably left Oregon. He is described as being 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, and has blond hair and green eyes.

It's unclear why the men were in the Pacific Northwest. Arrest paperwork indicates Ballard and Sibley had been in Oregon for about a week.

Court records show Ballard with a prior address and infractions in southern Oregon. An arrest warrant was issued for him last year after he was accused of stealing a freezer.

His Facebook page and arrest paperwork indicate he has relatives in Northern California, and has worked as a fisherman in Alaska.

Sibley lives with father in Texas and has been unemployed for a month, a document states.
