US 183 reopens after head-on car accident sends four to hospital

US 183 has reopened after a head-on car accident forced first responders to close it. 

According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened in the afternoon of Saturday, July 7, 2018 on US 183 at FM 3405. Multiple lanes of the highway were shut down so first responders could assist those who were injured in the crash. 

According to Sheriff Chody, six people were injured in this accident. 

Four of those people were transported to local hospitals. Two were in critical condition. 

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is investigating what led to the collision.
